The present book contains accurate Besselianelements for modern and future solar Eclipses, from A.D. 1951 to 2200. As
explained in the next chapter, our calculations are based on the most modern theories of the Sun and the Moon constructed at
the Bureau des Longitudes of Paris, so we many assume that our data are highly accurate. No maps are give; for the years
1986-2035 the user can find them in Espenak's work. Nor are numerical data given for the central lines; the formulae needed
for several calculations (local circumstances, points on the central line or of the northern and southern limits, etc.) are
provided; these alogrithms can easily be programmed for a microcomputer, while the numerical examples given in this book can
be used as a check.
